September Bubbles #6- New Moms

o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O

Today I saw a mom, who just gave birth, walk around to get something done. The fact that she had just gone through this pain-inducing experience on her body, and was now up and about, struck me.

There is something special about people who accept their responsibilities and choose to tend to them, no matter the cost. I can be so stubborn and only do what *I* want to do. But these people, they do what the situation NEEDS them to do.

 I am still learning this.

By being responsible, we are taking control of the reins God gave us. Yes, it hurts. Yes, she probably wanted to be in bed forever. Yes, the kid was crying all night and she is exhausted. But she knows what she has to do.

God has complete control, but isn’t it a breath of fresh air that He lets us walk in His Will freely? He GAVE us the ability to do responsible things. Like trains are made to ship cargo, we are made to get schtuff DONE…

He is like the parent walking down the sidewalk with his kid. The parent has a firm grip on the child, and will remain in control, but still sees the kid’s wandering eyes to where the kid might want to go. God sees our decisions, and divinely shares in them. We aren’t alone here.

Our responsible decisions are honored by Him, ESPECIALLY ones made in pain…(and new moms are a really good metaphor for that! )

September Bubbles #5- It’s Just Those People

-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-O-o-

Like precious pearls gleaming from under hidden shells and rocks,
good people are treasures to me.

They are the kind of people you look forward to meeting, however the mood you’re in, and surprise you every time with bursts of love and undeserving kindness

They are those kind of people that stop you in your tracks, your steady trudge up the hill that is your busy day, and just say, “Hey, can I encourage you with this verse?”

It’s the kind of person to just sit and pray with you, not allowing a single task on their to-do list to take over this precious moment between you, them, and God.

It’s a person who has their priorities straight, despite the mistakes they make. A person who thinks like this…

1) Jesus most (J)
2) Others second (O)
3) Yourself last (Y)

And ironically enough, these people usually have a JOY that transcends through any hardship or suffering, piercing through doubt and confusion. An attitude that truly can make you examine yourself.

These people have done that for me, and every time I linger on the beauty of these people that have surrendered their life to the love-filled path of God, I strive to be that kind of person too. :)

And thus concludes another sporadic thought with lasting impressions,
aka: a september bubble.

Oh, clouds. You are so much more than white puffs on a blue surface. You are a mystical theatre of heavenly wonder and majesty. You display power and emotion in some of the mightiest ways. Today, I finished one of the hardest school years of my life, all thanks to a God who sticks with me no matter what. I am beyond blessed to have gotten through this year, and just as the clouds peacefully float through the atmosphere, my spirit is peacefully floating in His arms. #blessed

OH MY GOSH! I just discovered that one of my favorite movies, “Meet the Robinsons” is based on a children’s book called, “A Day with Wilbur Robinson!"
I am beyond amused, not only that this is a book, but that the characters are so LIKE the original designs!! THAT STUFF MAKES ME HAPPY! Seeing stories reach their potential is one of the processes I truly adore to see.
:)))
